It was the horrifying day of September 6th in 2004 when hurricane Ivan struck Barbados. I was busy fixing my car as I listened on to the weather warnings being broadcasted on the radio. The tone of warnings gradually escalated to a siren.
Barbados had been a land of opportunity for me as I had immigrated from the United States of America and had settled down with my wife in this peaceful haven. However, that day changed everything. I lost my tourism business set up, my house and my car. Ivan left it’s trail of massive destruction.By some strange force of nature we both survived.
There were other regions in the Caribbean which suffered more damage. Though comparatively, only a minor part of Barbados was affected , unfortunately it happened to be my hometown which bore the wrath of the hurricane. The geographic devastation looked like a mathematical satire laughing at me in the face, a geometric design of the Gods!
However, I do thank my stars that in this old age I had been wise enough to procure home insurance, motor insurance and commercial insurance from Consumer’s Guarantee Insurance beforehand.
No sooner than Ivan died out, I approached CGI with my devastated condition. I had already been associated with the benefits of their HomeMate and Automate tools beforehand. However, the prompt service that I received in the refurbishment of my home with brand new contents, my office setup being restored and financial damages towards my car being recovered left me with an immense peace of mind - that I had reclaimed my standing in no time once again. I was all prepared to go blazzing guns once again!
I am indeed glad that I chose CGI over all others who came to my timely rescue and lived up to meeting my every need! Thanks a lot!
