The zero was derived as a translation of the Sanskrit word shoonya , meaning "empty". While it signifies void, or emptiness, it is actually otherwise. It is here that the secrets of the universe resides. This is the home and and the secret road to the attainment of the ultimate fountain of joy which every human being silently craves for. This eternal fountain of sunshine is happiness and the peace of one’s mind. It’s attainment is the ultimate destination.

The road leading to it is filled with mirages, obstacles, illusions and delusions. These are good enough to confuse the Confucius in each one of us. That’s why correct perceptions and honing the ability to see things for what they actually are become greatly important.

How does one do it? Let’s take an example. One can’t pour a cup of tea into a glass containing coca cola without emptying the latter. The reason is twofold. First, there is no space in the glass of coke and pouring the tea will cause the liquids to spill over and overflow. Secondly, upon mixing the two, the identity of the tea will be lost.

Life is similar. To view situations correctly and have the right perceptions, one needs to empty out and clean one’s mindspace. Only then is the mindspace ready to accept all the good desirable things that one wants. Removing all the negative energies that pose as obstacles in the line of one’s clear thinking is essential.Otherwise they block out the destination, the person loses direction, gets demotivated and one’s energy is drained.

This siphoning of negative energy or emptying process is greatly enabled through naturopathy treatments and yoga therapy. Time spent at a retreat in the arms of mother nature greatly purifies and rejuvenates the body, mind and spirit. A retreat is like a black hole that allows you to get drawn into yourself. It’s like taking a dive into the “shunya” or the swimming pool of tranquility and solace within yourself.

In today’s world one is overburdened with all sorts of stresses. Often one might complain of the tea having no sugar it. However as one reaches down to the bottom of the cup, one sees the sugar resting there unstirred ! Life is no different. It’s time one took to naturopathy and yoga therapy to live a healthy sweet and fulfilling life; eventually leading to the fountain of eternal youth !
