Green Tea is one of the most popular and the potentially the healthiest beverage around the world. It has been a favorite among the health conscious breed of generation. Noted to have several health benefits there are certain interesting facts surrounding this particular type of tea as well.

1.The Beginning of Green Tea: According to the legends Green Tea is said to be originated in China almost 4000 years ago. Although there are few contradiction to this legend. Many believe that Green Tea was accidentally discovered by a Chinese traveler on his walk, while there are others who say that it was discovered by Emperor Shen Nung. Green tea was all that was enjoyed first. But later it was discovered that the same plant could also produce Oolong, black and red tea.
