Post trauma recovery can be a long drawn process. However, there are ways in which one can speed up the recovery of the a patient  and help one regain one’s regain composure. Ofcourse, while naturopathy and Yoga applies to all , it’s effects are very beneficial. Moreover patients who have been exposed to such natural treatments have known to show remarkable improvement..

Natural healing therapy  essentially addresses the vital forces of nature, namely earth, fire, water, air, ether in all living beings. It serves to increase the quality of  energy or ‘prana’ vested in us..

Earlier I had only heard of it, but seeing my  colleague, a road accident victim, responding remarkably well to Naturopathy and Yoga Therapy ,  my faith has been reinforced. So impressed I was seeing his improvement that I ,too. decided to try it out for myself. Not to mention that I was tempted.

Nature Cure and Yoga Centre is a serene green place on the outskirts of Kolkata. Set right in the lap of nature, the variety of flora and fauna, along with the ambience of tranquility is very soothing and peaceful for the soul. The presence of the Radha Krishna Mandir, hymns being chanted in the evenings wraps one in a loving embrace as one is cradled in mother nature’s very own arms.

Besides the various treatments like mud pack treatment, enema, hip bath, footbath were all too relaxing. The beauty , essence, aesthetics and all the elements can be explained unless one experiences it for oneself. first  hand.

Ever since , I make it a point to visit this ‘haven of a place on earth at least once a month and rejuvenate myself . After all getting close to nature is a way of being with yourself!

I happened to be back in my hometown of Kolkata after six months of serving in an onsite project in Los Angeles.  Six months had taken it’s toll on me as I would work for eighteen hours in a day, often stretching to twenty. I returned home and found my grandmother, an arthritis patient, to be having severe joint pains.

So I decided that in the immediate weekend which followed I would take my family to a blissful haven on the outskirts of Kolkata. I had heard of this place called Nature Cure and Yoga Centre from one of my friends and was very much smitten by her enthusiasm.

Setting foot in the  large, spacious nine-acre green area was a treat in itself. The flora and fauna along with the freshness in the air all seemed to announce a warm welcome message in itself.

I had made the bookings before hand and we were received graciously by the courteous hosts. We went and settled our luggages in our respective cottages. I had signed up my entire family for a Special Naturopathy Treatment It was the least that I could do  and so I thought of pampering my parents , grandparents and brother to this rejuvenating treat which they deserved all the more.

At Nature Cure, the treatment combinations are designed to counter years of physical depreciation. Based on the ancient principles of the panch mahabhuta, each treatment addresses an aspect of the human body which is congested, depleted or otherwise disbalanced.

It started with the Mud Pack Treatment It resulted in a cooling and soothing effect for naturopathic therapy. It was then followed with a Hip Bath and subsequently Footbath which improved the blood circulation and removed the congestion of the brain. It gives a soothing indeed.

The next day we spoilt ourselves with the lavish treatment received in our special package. A thorough massage made my muscles feel so toned as all the pain seemed to drain away! The steam bath that followed after the massage just seemed to remove all the morbid matter from the body . The fact that it promoted blood circulation already made me feel active, lively and simply great!

I was very happy that my grandmother enjoyed and was relived of her arthritis pain to a great extent!

As we packed our pages on the third day after a sumptuous meal, I promised to come back again with my family, simply because it was here that I truly connected with Mother Nature!

It had been a hectic week as I landed in Kolkata.  Piled with loads of work pressure, I had been completely drained of every morsel of strength in my body. I reached home,  struggled through with my work and once completed, my body longed for a vacation. Vacation ? Wheres that luxury in these days?
I came to know, my brother had arranged for a ‘surprise visit’ for the family to a resort  nearby the following morning.

Early next morning, it took us only a short drive , about thirty minutes from Kolkata when we reached a lush, vast expanse of greenery which was a  very refreshing feast for the eyes. As I learnt more about the place, the resort embraced natural cure for  different ailments and nurtured the practices of yoga therapy as well.  It sounded interesting.

A large, spacious nine-acre green area  was highlighted with flora. The beauty was  accentuated with clean water bodies which calmed  the senses   In fact I found myself already so relaxed in the serene calm environment. It  was so different from my everyday routine of running against the clock, I thought to myself.

As the day progressed  I was  introduced to various naturopathic  treatment processes.
It was the Mud Pack Treatment that  I first went in for Naturopathy as I understood is  a system wherein human beings live in harmony with the principles of naturopathic therapy. These constructive principles are applicable on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual planes of living. Naturopathy has great health promoting, disease preventive, curative and restorative potential.

The results were amazing . The treatment involved the application of mud paste. It helped in removing toxins from my  body and resulted in a cooling and soothing effect.

I pampered myself  a second time by  treating myself to a ‘Footbath’.  It is said to improve the blood circulation and removes the congestion of the brain. Indeed, I was relieved of the headache that my work pressure had given me . It was a soothing and relaxing sensation.I reserved the sauna bath for the next day and it was a treat in itself.

Besides, as we had stayed over one night I got the opportunity to explore the various amenities at Nature Cure. We stayed in a cozy cottage which added to an oriental charm of the place amidst the fragrant smell of the surrounding flowers. I took a stroll around the resort. The Radha Krishna Temple wove a holy spell around the resort. The Yoga Centre and Meditative Facilities resounded with the enchanting ‘Om’.

The presence of fresh food , courteous staff and residential  physicians provided a nourishing sense of security throughout.

As I packed  my bags for home the next day, I couldn't thank my brother enough. I was rejuvenated in my mind, relaxed in my  body and pepped up in spirit. I looked into the mirror, I told myself, “ Here World, here I come! “ as I prepared to take on the week ahead!
Ever since that day I strongly recommend Nature Cure and Yoga Therapy to all.

Naturopathic medicine can be described as the science based tradition that promotes the wellness of human body. Naturopathy achieves the wellness for our body by indentifying the unique aspects of each patient and then by employing natural therapies to reestablish his or her physiological, psychological and structural balance. Naturopaths follow a holistic approach to address the disease and ailments of an individual. The principle of naturopathy follows the basic understanding that body has its own inherent power to heal which is enriched by the wisdom of nature. We tend to lose this vitality because most often we subject our body, mind and soul to the norms of modern lifestyle.

The basic principles of naturopathy

There are six fundamental principles based on which the naturopaths address various ailments and diseases:

1.Healing power of nature: Body possesses the inherent wisdom to heal itself.

2.First Diagnosis and then Treatment: Naturopathic treatment looks beyond the symptoms and address the underlying cause of the disease.

3.First Do No Harm: Naturopathic treatment uses the most natural, least invasive and least toxic therapies to cure the one who is ailing.

4.Doctor as Teacher: The patients must be educated in steps to achieve and maintain their health

5.Treat the Whole Person: Naturopathy views the human body as an integrated whole. It addresses the physical as well as spiritual dimension to find complete cure for the one ailing.

6.Prevention: Naturopathy focuses on overall health, wellness and disease prevention.

Naturopathic medicine is the art and science of health care. It is based on the principles derived from extensive research conducted throughout centuries and observation made with respect to the process of ailments and disease. Naturopaths therefore, must master a variety of long respected art of healing to ensure curing the disease of an individual from its very source.

Nature has access to a world of medical treasures. The remedies by nature has a good deal to offer to you and your health. If you want to feel better, look better, vibrate more energy and get sick less often then nothing can be more valuable than resorting to natural remedies. The constraints of time and demands for haste redressal of our health woes most often drive us towards pharmaceutical drugs but this is a practice of modern society.

Long before the advent of modern medicines, nature was the only answer to take care of our health concerns. No sooner did the aspects of modernism made a foray into our daily lives that we adapted to the principles of treatment by pharmaceutical means. These medicines and treatment procedures proved to be highly effective and worked exceptionally well in a number of diseases. However the probability of serious side effects from the consumption of these drugs could not be denied completely. They often came along with serious side effects, especially when they were used to cure prolonged illnesses.

Our body is not designed to withstand regular intake of man made medicines. It is under such situations and circumstances that taking recourse to natural ways become indispensable. Modern science, with the objective of deriving the benefits from natural methods amalgamated their treatment procedures with the aspects of natural remedies. Inclusion of the principles of naturopathy and yoga into the realms of modern science proved to be very helpful for ascertaining the health to ailing individuals.

Naturopathic Therapy addresses the root cause of the disease and aims to uproot it from the very core. These treatment procedures are basically effective for the treatment of nervous imbalances such as stress, anxiety, muscle cramps, headaches, depression and fatigues. Various other disorders are effectively addressed by the treatment procedure as well.
Naturopathy has the ability to tackle the illnesses which cannot be taken care of wholly by the fields of modern science.
